Robert Mang, 68, of Schuyler, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at CHI-St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lincoln.
Per Roberts wishes, he has been cremated and no services are being held.
Robert was born on September 23, 1954 in Chamberlain, South Dakota to Gus and Elsie (Greenwood) Mang. Through lineage of his parents, Robert was a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe in South Dakota. When he was able, Robert joined the United States Navy and served his country for four years. After his discharge he attended trade school and learned the skills of an electrician. Robert’s contract jobs took him many places throughout the United States where he eventually landed in Kansas. While in Kansas, through mutual friends, Robert met his future wife Roberta Reiter at a get-together and they later were married on June 6, 1978. The couple continued to live in Kansas, they later relocated to Omaha, and eventually moved to Schuyler where they have made their home for over 25 years.
Surviving Robert are his wife, of 41 years, Roberta of Schuyler, son Joshua Mang of Schuyler, two step-daughters: Jamie Cornell and her children Skie, Crystal, and Brentin, Tracey Foster and her children Nick, Ben, and Kerstin.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and sister Beverly Running Horse.
