Ritha Masek

Ritha M. Masek, 89, of David City, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Thursday, March 14 at St. Mary's Church, David City with Fr. Bernard Kimminau as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will begin Thursday at 9:00am followed by a 9:30am rosary all at the church.

Ritha M. Medinger was born on May 8, 1923 to Peter and Mary(Spiecher)Medinger at David City. She married Louis Masek on February 15, 1947 in St. Mary's Church, David City. One son was born to this union.
Ritha was a member of St. Mary's PCCW. She loved to crochet, needlepoint, cook, can, make her famous popcorn balls, listen to polka music, dance and visit with friends and family. She grew a large garden every year which was her pride and joy. She helped her husband raise dairy cattle in their early years.
Ritha is survived by her son, Frank of David City, sister-in-law: Margaret Masek of Gering, Nebraska, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis in 2006, and one brother, Frances Medinger.
