Columbus

Myron Krzycki, 88 of Columbus, passed away on June 11, 2026 at his home.

Myron D. Krzycki was born December 23, 1937 to Bernard and Gertrude(Alt) Krzycki in Columbus, Nebraska. He attended District 44 School, located 2 miles North of their family farm, completing up to 8th grade.  Myron obtained his GED at Platte College in May of 1986.

In 1963 Myron received his private pilots license, logging in many hours of flight. While at the family farm he started constructing a single-seat glider plane in his bedroom on the second floor, which eventually had to be removed out of his bedroom window. He farmed the family farm for many years with his dad. After retiring from farming he delivered the Omaha World Herald to rural areas of Columbus and also helped in distribution of the Pawnee Scout.

He is survived by his sister: Marjorie(Al) Kush of Stromsburg, sister-in-law: Jackie Krzycki of Norfolk, and many nieces and nephews.

Myron is preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Jim Krzycki.

Per Myron's wishes a private family service will be held at a later time.
