Margaret was born on March 2, 1929 at David City, Nebraska to Floyd and Marion(Dowling)Cornell. She attended the local grade school and graduated from David City High School in 1946. Margaret taught Sunday School for several years and liked to play cards, garden and was a big Husker Fan. She married Vern Zeilinger on August 22, 1954 and three children were born to this union.

Margaret was a school bus driver for David City Public Schools for many years. She enjoyed her time with the school kids and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's many activities. She also found time to sew, knit, crochet, bake and play golf.
She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

Margaret is survived by her children, Jean(Mike)Hecker of Seward, Ruth(Gary)Rountree of David City and Brian(Beth)Zeilinger of Rising City. One sister, Betty Reed of Littleton, CO, 6 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild to be born in August.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vern in 1994.
