Marcella Straka, 78, of Fairfleid, CA, died Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Marcella Straka was born June 23,1938, in David City, Nebraska, and died April 22, 2017, in Sonoma, California. Marcy lived most of her life in David City with her parents, Charley and Anna Straka. She enjoyed reading the Banner Press, listening to the noon news on her radio, and keeping track of her neighbors. Upon her parent’s deaths, Marcy moved to Napa, California, with her sister. She enjoyed attending Senior Day Programs which she called school. She was always so proud of the school papers and crafts she shared with her family. Marcy bowled with Special Olympics, went to special needs camps, and loved to eat out-always ordered chicken.
Marcy is survived by her sister, Deltrude Hall (Archie) and two neices, Andrea Brueggeman (James) (sons Derek and Deitrik ) and Tricia Flower (Richard) (daughter, Cheyenne).
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, 10:30am at the David City Cemetery.
