Majorie Wiese, 95, of Howells, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa in West Point.

Memorials can be designated to the Howells Community Catholic School or the Howells Community Fund.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Howells. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 until 10:30 a.m. with a parish rosary at 10 a.m. all at the church. Interment will be in the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery with lunch following at the Howells Catholic Social Hall. Svoboda Moravec Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements for Marjorie’s family.

Marjorie and her twin, Marcella were born on August 29, 1931, to Lad and Edith Kabes in Clarkson, NE. Marjorie graduated from Clarkson High School in 1948. After high school, Marjorie worked at Karel's store in Clarkson, and then at Becton Dickinson Company in Columbus. She married Henry Ridder Jr. in 1954, and after his passing Marjorie married Wilfred Wiese in 1956. She was a housewife, a homemaker and mother to their 4 children. As the children got older, Marjorie went to work at the Dodge nursing home as a cook, retiring after 29 years.

Marjorie loved gardening, baking, and sewing. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Howells, Nebraska as well as a member of the Christian Mothers.

Marjorie is survived by her children Lynne (Mark) Ondracek, Theresa (Clarence) Ernesti, Loren (Michelle) Wiese, and daughter in law, Norma Wiese, as well as 10 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Elaine (Ron) Snyder, brother-in- law Maynard (Janet) Wiese, and sisters-in-law, Marlene Kabes, Almarine Kabes and Dianne Wiese.

Marjorie is preceded in death by parents, Lad and Edith Kabes, parents-in-law Ben and Eleanore Wiese, husbands Henry Ridder Jr. and Wilfred Wiese, son Robert Wiese, sisters Marcella (Harold) Suchan, and Janice (Leo) Rueschhoff, and brothers Leonard Kabes and Donald Kabes, brothers-in-law Monsignor Melvern Wiese, Dennis Nadrchal, and Delbert Ridder, sister-in-law Anna (Jerry) Bourek, Agnes (Richard) Rupprecht, and nephews Richard Suchan and Gregg Rueschhoff.
