Madonna G. Fischer age 82, of Hartington NE went to heavens gates Wed. July 23, 2025

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic church in Bow Valley, Nebraska with Fr. James Keiter officiating with inurnment at S.S. Peter & Paul cemetery.

Madonna was born Feb 147 1943 on a farm in rural Hartington Ne to Alma (Kleinschmit) & Emery Fischer. She was baptized and confirmed at S.S Peter & Paul church. She attended the country school just down the hill from her farm till 8th gr then attended Holy Trinity School in Hartington where she graduated in 1960. She then went on to attend artist school for 2 years.

Madonna was quite the homemaker at the farm where she lived her entire life. She took care of her father after her mother passed away in 1967. She trained horses, milked cows, raised chickens, cattle, hogs and a large garden. She loved canning, making wines, baking, and carving from cedar wood logs, especially horses.

Madonna is survived by her younger sister Linda Ann (Lon) Steffen and her daughters Lori, LeAnn & Lisa; sister in law Vonda Fischer and family: Dave(Laura), Joe (Mindy), John (Jana), Karen, Jean (Chris), Mary, Lisa, Tom (Katie), Dan (Denise) niece Ruth (Tom) Wiebelhaus and their children: Jessica (Daryl) Lambert, Emma (Brady), Joshua (Katelyn), Seth (Hannaha), Isaak; many great nieces and nephews.

Madonna was preceded in death by her parents, brother David, infant sister Marie, nephew Bill.
