Kathy Jonas

Kathy was born February 12, 1950 in Columbus to Lyle and Tillie (Hajhal) Krutz. She received her education in the Schuyler School system and graduated in 1968. Kathy was employed at Didier Grocery Store in Schuyler since 1983. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, decorating for the holidays, dressing up for Halloween to go to work and listening to “western” music. Kathy died August 25, 2012, at the age of 62, from injuries sustained in an car train wreck west of Rogers. Kathy is survived by two sons, Jessie (Amy) Jonas of Omaha and Jay Jonas of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Brennan, Ella and Collin Jonas; four sisters and one brother, Linda Krutz of Lincoln, Jeanne (Jim) Proskovec, Sherry Petersen, Jay Krutz all of Schuyler and Tammy Beyerle of Golden, CO. She is preceded in death by her parents Lyle (July 16, 2010) and Tillie (Nov. 12, 2005); one brother, Keith Krutz (July 13, 2012). Family suggest memorials to Family Choice. Funeral dinner will be served at the St. Mary's Social Center following committal services at the Schuyler Cemetery.
