Gwendolyn Carol Spale

Memorial services for 70 year old Gwendolyn Carol Spale of Schuyler will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 15th at Svoboda Funeral Home South Chapel. Private burial will follow at a later date. Gwen died Sunday October 11th at her home.

Gwen was born on May 17, 1945 in Ovid, Colorado to Ronald and Erma (Freemyer) Stewart. She attended Cedric County (Colorado) school. She later went to beauty school. On May 27, 1967, Gwen married Joseph Spale in Schuyler. She worked at D & L in Columbus, and for 35 years worked part-time at Rozanek’s Kennel in Schuyler. She loved riding horses, carpentry work, fishing and sight-seeing.

Gwen is survived by a daughter, Vicki Stewart of Michigan, two sons, Stacey Spala of Schuyler and Brad Spale of Columbus, granddaughter Katliegh Spale of Osceola, brothers, Ray Stewart of Chappell, NE and Richard (Mary) Stewart of Meridian, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Joseph in May 2013.
