Ginger Anne Gulick, formerly of Sloan, Iowa, Houston, Texas, and Garland, Texas, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on November 7, 2025, at the age of 87, with her daughter by her side.
Ginger was born on March 20, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa, to William “Kyle” and Elizabeth “Toots” Jeanette Adams. For the past four years, she lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Bruno, Nebraska, and most recently resided at Brookestone of David City skilled nursing home.
Ginger had a deep love for people and never met a stranger. She and her mother shared a special gift for songwriting, creating many Christian songs that they believed were divinely inspired—often in the quiet of night. Her mother transcribed the music, and together they recorded their songs, with her mother playing piano and Ginger lending her beautiful voice. Through these songs, and through the small cards she made featuring their lyrics and messages of faith, Ginger touched countless lives—always reminding others that Jesus loves you.
Ginger was united in marriage to Zane Alden Gulick on April 6, 1956. She is survived by their three children: Julie (Marty) Meylor of Scurry, TX; Jeanie (Bruce) Bartunek of Bruno, NE; and Ty Gulick of Houston, TX; along with former daughter-in-law Karen Gulick of Houston, TX. She is also survived by her brothers Kyle “Pat” Adams of East Greenwich, RI, and Monte (Rosaline) Adams of Dakota City, NE; her sister Judi (Ron) Corcoran of Henderson, NV; seven grandchildren — Alex, Sam, Demi, Jessica, Jacob, Zachary, and Cari Beth; three great-grandchildren — Amaure’, Maddox, and Maeva; two step-great-grandchildren — Harrison and Halle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Zane Gulick, and her sisters-in-law Gail Adams and Renea Adams.
A celebration of Ginger’s life will be held at a later date at the Community Church of Christ in Sloan, Iowa.
