Evelyn E. Masek, 83, of David City, Ne passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Chermok Funeral Home in David City. Rosary will be 10:00 am Thursday, December 31, 2009 with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 am all at the Immaculate Conception Church in Ulysses, Nebraska.
Evelyn was born on Feb. 10, 1926 at Bee, Ne to Michael and Agnes Hotovy. She married Pete Masek on Aug. 12, 1946. Evelyn was a homemaker and worked for D & L in Columbus.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Wayne & Shirley, Vern & Jean both of Lincoln, Michael & Linda of Columbus, sister and brother-in-law Joseph & Lucille Fiala of Ulysses, sister-in-law Marie Hotovy of Seward, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, daughter-in-law, Karen Masek, parents Michael & Agnes Hotovy, brothers Raphael and Gerald Hotovy. Memorials may be made as the family wishes; Immaculate Conception Church, or St. Joseph’s Villa.
