Donald Juranek

Donald L. Juranek, 74, of David City, entered into rest on May, 22, 2014 at St. Joseph's Villa, after a 2 year bout with cancer. As per the family's wishes: Don was cremated.

Don was born on February 2, 1940 to William V. and Georgia (Shalon) Juranek. He attended Marietta School and gradated from St. Mary's High School in 1957. Don was a lifelong resident and farmer in Butler County. He was a devoted husband and father.

He married Joan Pleskac on May 23, 1964, at Assumption Parish in Dwight, Ne. Two children were born to this union.

Don is survived by his wife: Joan; children: Dale (Michelle) Juranek, and Nancy Juranek both of David City; granddaughter: Sarah Juranek; and brother: William R. Juranek of David City.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In Lieu of flowers: Memorials have been suggested to David City Volunteer Fire Department, and to St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Dessert and coffee will be served in the St. Mary's Gym, following the graveside service.
