Dolores Andel, 83, of Schuyler passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Columbus Care and Rehab Center.

Dolores Marie Andel was born August 15, 1935 in Prague, Nebraska to Emil and Kathryn (Vanek) Sedlacek. Dolores was united in marriage to Marcel Frank Andel on August 9, 1958 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Schuyler.
Dolores was 15 months younger than her sister Delphine and they were in inseparable. After graduating from Marietta High School in Bellwood they attended Wayne State Teacher’s College, and were roommates. Both taught in elementary schools in several communities. Dolores later received her Bachelor’s Degree and made a long-term career teaching many children patiently and with great love.
She is survived by her sons James Andel and Steven Andel both of Lincoln; two grandchildren Brennen and Ella Andel of Lincoln; two sisters Delphine Stepanek of Fremont and Deanna Brandsberg of Manhattan, KS; one brother Dennis Sedlacek of Salinas, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, husband Marcel in 2001 and sister Dorothy Hespen.
