Dennis L. Tomasevicz, 71, of Jarecki Lake, Columbus, died unexpectedly on November 26, 2019 at his residence of natural causes.

Dennis was born on July 18, 1948 at Shelby, Nebraska to John S. and Virginia A.(Bernt) Tomasevicz. He attended schools in the Shelby area, graduating from Shelby High School in 1967. He worked as a mechanic for Massey-Ferguson and John Deere Dealerships in the Shelby and Osceola areas for many years, retiring from John Deere in 2011. On July 28, 1973, Dennis married Amy Zimmerman at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby. Two sons were born to this union. Dennis was a long time Shelby resident, where he served as a volunteer fireman and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, card club, and was considered the "grill master" of the area. He enjoyed visiting with people and was a wonderful story teller. He liked to listen to polka music, especially the Big Joe Polka Show.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Amy, sons: Curtis Tomasevicz of Lincoln, Jon (Kristin) Tomasevicz of Columbus, sister: Donna (Don) Wehunt of Atlanta, GA, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard.
