Delores Marie Mares

Delores (Bohuslavsky) Mares, 93, daughter of James Bohuslavsky and Mary Mazanec Bohuslavsky passed away at Schuyler Care and Rehabilitation on October 31, 2018. She was born in David City, NE on March 7, 1925 and resided at the family farm near Schuyler for most of her life. Her daughters, Paula (Schuyler, NE), and Patricia (Austin, TX), sister, Donna Bohuslavsky Griffin (Colorado Springs, CO), brothers: LaVerne Bohuslavsky (Blair, NE), and Dennis (Kathleen) Bohuslavsky (Colorado Springs, CO), and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews survive her. Delores’ husband, Joseph Jr, her sons, Martin and Mark, and brothers Richard and Gene Bohuslavsky preceded her in death.

Delores lived in Rising City, NE during her early years, graduating from Rising City High. She married Joseph R. Mares Jr in 1947. At that time, she moved to the Joseph Mares, Sr farm 3 miles from Schuyler, NE, helping to run the farm and raising a family. She lived there until September 2015, when she moved to Schuyler Care and Rehabilitation.
