Dale Russel Zeilinger 75, of Bellwood died September 26, 2025 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City from Alzheimer's dementia.
Memorials can be directed to the Zeilinger Family for later designation.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, October 3, at 3 p.m. at the David City Cemetery. Visitation for Dale will be on Friday, October 3, from 1 to 2:45 at Moravec Johnson Mortuary in David City.
Dale was born May 9, 1950, in David City, NE to Eugene and Orletha (Dorothy) Zeilinger. He grew up in the Congregational-Christian Church and graduated from David City Public in 1968. Dale was active in school activities such as choir, golf, track, wrestling, basketball, FFA and DC Club. 1969-1976 Dale was in the Nebraska Air National Guard and attended basic in Biloxi, MS. He went to Alaska for the Air Guard during the Vietnam War, but not in battle. He was a Master Electrician owning Zeilinger Electric for many years and a Farmer raising a variety of animals including his prize bull "Target" and horse "Daisy".
Dale is survived by his father Gene, daughter Deana (Kevin) Briggs of Utica, son Dan of Beatrice, daughter Danae (Danny) Perkins of Kansas City, MO, and son David of Douglas, Arizona, granddaughters Charlee, Layla, Azalea and grandson Boden. 4 Bonus grandkids, and 2 bonus great granddaughters. Sister Connie (Steve) Bell of Elkorn, Brother Ray of Gretna. Nephew Todd Bell. Nieces, Courtney Tetter, Dori Zeilinger, Sony (Tim) Shaw, Jada Scott. Aunt Susan (Rex) Lynd and Uncle Keith (Peggy) Zeilinger.
He was preceded in death by his mother Orletha, 5 sets of aunts and uncles, grandparents Spencer and Minnie Dorothy, Rena and Ralph Zeilinger (and bonus grandmother Edna), sister-in-law Beth Zeilinger, nephew-in-law Corey Scott.
