Cortney Marie Dunker

Cortney Marie Dunker, 23, of Schuyler, NE. passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at her home. Cortney lost a brave battle with cancer. Funeral services will be Tuesday August 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Schuyler with Rev. Bill Mattfeld officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Svoboda Funeral Home South Chapel. Visitation will continue Tues. one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in the Schuyler Cemetery.
Cortney was born Aug. 8, 1991 in Schuyler to Robert (Bob) and Virginia (Dietrich) Dunker. She attended Schuyler elementary school and graduated from Schuyler High School in 2010. Cortney worked at Fargo Manufacturing in David City and Didiers Grocery in Schuyler. She was a licensed CNA and was attending nursing school at Central Community College in Columbus
Cortney is survived by a daughter Ashlynn Dunker, fiancé Jason Rima, her parents Bob and Virginia Dunker, brother Aaron (Maria) Dunker, sister Pamela Dunker, all of Schuyler, sister Susy (Javier) Bustillos of Columbus, maternal grandmother Alice Dietrich of Schuyler, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cortney was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Lad Dietrich, Sr. and paternal grandparents William and Caroline Dunker, all of Schuyler.
Cortney was a devoted mother and a special friend of Jason. Her love of the outdoors led her to many camping trips, including Lake McConaughy and Idaho.
