Celestine " Sally" Svoboda, 100, of David City , widow of Joseph, died Wednesday, September 18 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. Memorials: In Care of the Family Sally was born in Garrison Nebraska on June 29, 1919. She completed high school at Dwight Assumption, attended teachers college at Kearney and worked in a medical dispensary in Denver. Sally and Joe were married on February 16, 1942 at Holy Trinity Church in Brainard. They moved to New York City before Joe was deployed for WWII. Sally then returned to the Butler County Area, where Joe joined her after the war.They were farmers, raising cattle and milking cows. She delighted in her grandkids, attending their activities and events. Sally was a card player, enjoying Pitch and Darda with family and friends. She was an avid sports fan, especially loving Nebraska Football.
