Carolyn Cordes-Dostal

Carolyn Cordes-Dostal, 74 of rural David City passed away on March 14, 2024 in Schuyler, Nebraska

Visitation will be: Monday, March 18, 2024 from 4-6pm at Chermok Funeral Home, David City.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:30am at Redeemer Lutheran Church in David City. The Graveside service will be at Edholm Cemetery, Linwood then the luncheon will follow at the church. Chermok Moravec Johnson Mortuary of David City is assisting Carolyn's family with arrangements.

Carolyn was born October 7, 1949 to Orville and Esther(Kupke) Cordes in Lincoln, Nebraska. She grew up in Louisville and graduated from Louisville High School in 1967. She went on to study business at the Omaha School of Commerce. On August 24, 1985 she was united in marriage to Dennis Dostal at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Louisville, NE.

Carolyn was a Sunday School Teacher at the Lutheran Church for many many years, and loved teaching the children. She was also part of the women's Guild, was President for several years and was also on the Octavia School Board. She was very generous in helping and taking care of others. Dennis and Carolyn loved to travel together and also enjoyed square and polka dances. She had a great love for all of her animals, flowers and just being in nature. Decorating was a top priority for her. Carolyn also enjoyed photography and would enter her photos into the country fair.

She is survived by her husband: Dennis; daughters: Adaela Dostal of David City, and Heidi(Allen) Dostal-Wellman of Fremont; sister: Shirley Prell of Louisville and niece Tammie Meloy; and brother-in-law: Gary(Cindy) Dostal and their kids: Andrew Dostal and Katie Gleason.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; and by her in-laws: Louis and Evelyn Dostal.
