Betty Ann was born on June 5, 1942 in Kearney, Nebraska to Frank and Opal (Kersting) Einspahr. She graduated high school from North Loup Scotia. On July 7, 1971 Betty was united in marriage to Wayne DeLaet, 4 children were born to this union.
Betty enjoyed doing simple hobbies that she could use to keep herself occupied, like crocheting. She enjoyed the peace of doing things on her own, but also enjoyed making people laugh when she was out and about. Betty was extremely proud of the fact that while living at Emerald Care Center she was given the nickname of "Bad Betty" or "BB" for short, because she was usually causing mischief of some kind. She loved her grandchildren and whenever she was asked of who her favorite is, the answer was always whoever was there visiting that day.
Betty is survived by her children Tammy Lance of Columbus, Donna (Ron) Kreitman of Columbus, Cindy Lesiak of Norfolk, Scott DeLaet of Platte Center; grandchildren: Ashley, Jessie, Robin, Megan, Courtney, Taj, Eric, and Harper; great-grandchildren Vander, Ivory, CJ, Bentley, Alex, Chloe, and Corbyn, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne in 2016, sister Diane Hernandez, brothers: Larry, Darryl, and Danny Einspahr.
