Barbara Hodyc, 75, of Octavia passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at her home in Octavia.
Barbara's wishes were to be cremated. No services are being held. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Barbara was born on November 29, 1943 in Peck, Kansas to John and Alvina Lauterbach. She graduated from Schuyler High School and married John Hodyc on September 23, 1968 in Columbus, Nebraska.
Barbara enjoyed going to family functions and get-togethers, cooking (especially baking), and casino trips. When it was nice outside she loved sitting outside and admiring the beauty of nature.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years John of Octavia; sons: Jim Hodyc and significant other Jeannie of Fremont, David (Kim) Eilers of Bellwood, Jason (Sheila) Hodyc of Octavia; stepchildren: Darrel (Julie) Beaumont, Brenda (Joe) Athen, Diane DeAngelo, Penny Beaumont; brother Herman (Berldean) Lauterbach of Columbus; two sisters Ramona Sherrock of Wahoo and Mabel Pabian of Bruno.
She is preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.
