Ann J Parolek

Funeral Mass for Ann J. Parolek, age 93 of Schuyler, will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 8th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Schuyler. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 PM to 7 Pm and on Saturday fro 9 AM to 9:45 AM all at the Svoboda Funeral Home North Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7 PM Friday. Burial will be in the Schuyler Cemetery.
Ann was the daughter of Anton F. and Anna (Matejka) Jindra and was born April 11, 1923 at Linwood, NE. She attended District #3 rural school in Butler County. She and Joseph M. Parolek were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Schuyler on June11, 1941. Ann loved animals of all kinds, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann died October 4, 2016 at the Schuyler Care and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident the past 10 years.
Ann is survived by six sons, Raymond (Joleen) Parolek of Lincoln, Richard (Eddie) Parolek of Wilber, Pat (Marilyn) Parolek of Lincon, Paul (Linda) Parolek of Macon, GA, David Parolek of Schuyler, Ron Parolek of Clarkson,: daughter, Mary Ann (Joe) Ornelas of Phoenix, AZ; 17 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe (12/19/2001); daughter, Christine Parolek (7/25/2009); 5 brothers, Anton, Frank, James, Joseph and Edward Jindra; three sisters, Tillie Bose, Mary Kucera, Rose Nepper.
