Anita Louise Ernst was born September 28, 1939 in Columbus, Nebraska to Melvin and Marcella (Huhn) Ernst. She attended school through the 8th grade at Immanuel Lutheran School. Anita was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Schuyler. Anita worked as a kitchen assistant at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln and as a waitress for the Top Notch and Western Cafe in Schuyler. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and doing word puzzles. She also enjoyed doing latch hook sewing.
Anita is survived by her mother Marcella Ernst of Schuyler, sister Elaine (Jim) Ernst Williams of Bellevue, NE, and brother Allen (Kak) Ernst of Schuyler and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin, sister Nancy and brother Randy.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Schuyler Library Foundation or Family’s Choice.
