Andrew T. Davidson, 59, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Schuyler CHI Hospital.

Memorials can be directed towards Family Wishes for later designation.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 11:30 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Schuyler. Family greeting friends will be on Saturday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the church. Lunch will immediately follow the service in the church hall. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Svoboda Funeral Home of Schuyler is handling arrangements for Andy’s family.

Andrew Thomas was born in Chaves County, New Mexico on April 10, 1964 to Thomas M. and Nancy E. (Gritton) Davidson. Andrew attended Buena Vista University and the University of Iowa before graduating from U of I where he received his Master’s Degree in Chemistry.

Andrew married Shawn Elaine Thompson on December 20, 1986 in Storm Lake, Iowa. To this union a daughter, Megan, was born on September 11, 1991.

Andy loved doing cross stitch and being with his family. When he and his family lived in Colorado he loved to go camping and fly fishing.

Andrew is preceded in death by his parents Thomas in 2001 and Nancy in 2005, his father-in-law David Thompson and great nephew Trayton Thompson.

Andrew is survived by his wife Shawn of Schuyler, daughter Megan (Nick) and daughter Addilyn of Geneva, NE; sisters Fawn Davidson of Des Moines, IA, and Kathy (Kevin) O’Connor of Arizona; mother-in-law Joann Thompson of Schuyler; brothers-in-law Gregg Thompson of Norfolk, NE, and Brad (Becky) Thompson of Sioux City, IA nephew Hunter (Becca) Thompson and their children Nathaniel, David, and Alex; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and acquaintances.
