Agnes M. Focher

Agnes was born October 9, 1915 in Plasi, NE to Joseph and Mary (Hains) Paseka. She attended school at Saunders County District 94. Agnes and Joseph Focher, Jr. were married in Plasi on April 19, 1938 and they farmed in the Abie, Linwood, Bruno and Prague areas. Agnes enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo and cards, fishing and crocheting, but her real joy came in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Agnes had been a resident at St. Joseph’s Villa in David City for the past four yeas and she died February 9th at the Butler County Health Care Center at the age of 97. Agnes is survived by two daughters, Darlene Macholan of Linwood and Marlene Focher of Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Darlene Foucher of Prague; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Bazis of La Crescent, MN and Marcie (who was raised by Joe and Agnes from age 4) Mrs. Dale Mensik of Omaha. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe (May 12, 2001); son, Donald; grandson, Gary Macholan; great grandson, Jonathan Engle; brother, Frank Paseka; 7 year old sister, Mary Ann Paseka; son-in-law, Leonard Macholan. Family suggest memorials to St. Joseph’s Villa in David City or the Linwood Hill Cemetery. Funeral lunch will be served at the St. Mary's Social Center following the interment in the Linwood Hill Cemetery.
