She attended a rural district grade school and went on to graduate from East Butler High School in Brainard, NE. After high school, she earned a teaching certificate and taught for a short time. She married Henry (Hank) Jakub on May 28, 1946. They were faithful members of St. Anthony parish, where Adeline was a member of the altar society.

Hank and Adeline bought a farm near Bruno, NE and had 5 children. Adeline was a loving mother and wife. She was a great cook and baker. She loved gardening and worked hard on the farm.

Adeline loved children. Besides caring for her own children, she often cared for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, children of nieces and nephews, plus children of friends. Adeline didn’t just watch children. She played with them. She made their favorite foods. She gave them lots of love.

Adeline lived there until 2015. At that time, she moved to Lincoln, NE where she lived the remainder of her life. She passed away on November 18, 2023 at the age of 96.
