On April 8, 1958 she married Joseph A. Elbracht at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner, Nebraska. They farmed in the Howells area. She loved gardening and her flowers and was also employed at Blue Bird Nursery in Clarkson, Nebraska where she was always adding numerous plants and flowers to her home.

Betty is survived by a son Randy (Jenny) of Gretna, three daughters, Barb Elbracht of Mankato, Kansas, Cindy (Duane) Nelson of Norfolk, and Sharon (Bryan) Ohmberger of Firth, Nebraska; 4 grandchildren: Justin (Kylie) Hochstein, Travis (Blaire) Hochstein, Anna (Tate) Paulsen, and Christopher (Lauren) Elbracht, one great-grandson, a sister-in-law Kay Lavigne of Elkhorn and brother-in-law Robert Maxwell of Lincoln.
